Profile

Aoife is currently a member of the Irish High Performance Squad and has had a super 2010 season with her top two horses - The Lily White Syndicate's Master Crusoe and Henrietta Duchess of Bedford's Vaguely North - both going extremely well at Blenheim CCI*** and qualifying for Badminton CCI**** 2011.  There were 7 clear rounds inside the optimum time cross country and Aoife rode 2 of them, finishing 6th on Master Crusoe and 14th on Vaguely North, adding to her tally of top ten results at three-star level in 2010, alongside great results at Chatsworth and Tattersalls.  For further 2010 results click here.

Based at Hook Norton, Oxfordshire and in England for the last 4 years, she runs a professional event yard training and competing young event horses to the highest standards, with the support of a great team of owners, friends, and head girl Hollie Bradshaw. She also takes horses in for schooling, pre-training and sales for clients.

She has ridden since a very young age and began hunting with the Tara Harriers, followed by Pony Eventing where she was National Champion in 1996 and represented Ireland twice at the European Chamionships.

She gained experience in several Eventing and National Hunt Racing yards including as a working pupil for Ian Stark in 2000.

She went on to graduate from University College Dublin with a 1st class degree in Maths and Classics – in the same year finishing 2nd at Necarne CCI** on Wood U Retreat – a horse she had just ridden for 5 weeks and on whom she went on to complete Bramham CCI*** 2003.

She receives training from Sarah Ward on the flat along with benefitting from Irish Squad Training from Ginny Elliot, Ferdi Eilberg and Michael Quirke. She is competitive, focussed and determined to achieve every goal she sets herself, and works hard to make sure attention to detail is paramount and each horse is treated as an individual and given the time it deserves. She is always looking for new owners and sponsors to join the team, be it at an individual or syndicate level, so if anyone is interested in becoming involved please contact her.

There are currently vacancies for horses for competing, schooling and also for pre-training, jump schooling and rehab for racehorses.
